We celebrated Finn’s birthday with lunch at Kasa, a very good Japanese restaurant in Boulder. After lunch, we hunted a letterbox near the Boulder library, along Boulder Creek, where the water was very high from snowmelt. We watched a couple of kayakers “surfing” on the white water, something I’d never seen before.
There was a lot of activity on Pearl Street, and I noticed a number of men with yarmulkes. I thought there must be quite a large Jewish community in Boulder …. until we saw signs for the Boulder Jewish Festival. The mall was full of kosher food vendors and we enjoyed listening to a wonderful Klezmer band.
More grilled veggies for supper. Yum!
